If you are used to blipping the throttle while not moving, you may want to select "N". In "D" the DCT is not very forgiving. Throttle opens, the bike is moving forward. On the street waiting for traffic, pedestrians or whatever, being in gear allows you to move as the situation demands. You will get used to it.

Start the engine, let it reach working temperature. Select N. Stop the engine. While pressing D, switch the ignition on, wait until the yellow βengine' symbol goes out on the dash, then release D. Press in fast sequence: DDNDN. On the dash, the letters D and S should appear together. Restart engine, allow it to idle.
